The diamond industry can take a lesson from British artist Damien Hirst. His latest work is a platinum cast of an 18th century man’s skull, encrusted with 8,601 flawless diamonds weighing a total of 1,200 carats. The skull titled ‘For the Love of God’ is part of a larger exhibit of his work which opened in London this month. The 18cm-tall piece has a tag of $98 million and has been dubbed the most expensive work by a living artist.
